Compact and accessible

The conference will take place across three buildings that are within a five minute walk of each other. 

• McEwan Hall, Teviot Pl, Edinburgh EH8 9AG, UK

• Appleton Tower, 11 Crichton St, Edinburgh EH8 9LE, UK

• 50 George Square, Edinburgh EH8 9JU, UK

All buildings are handicap accessible and require no major street crossing. The majority of the main programme will take place in Appleton Tower and 50 George Square, while McEwan Hall will be used for plenaries and catering.

McEwan Hall

This iconic building will be our conference epicenter for the week. It will be open and available to delegates from 8am through to the evening keynotes. There will be tea, coffee, and biscuits all day long. Come anytime, take a seat, and meet people. Or, use Mighty, the DRS membership and conference community app, to organize an ad hoc meeting.

Getting to/from Edinburgh

The nearest airport is Edinburgh Airport (EDI). Edinburgh Trams provides direct connections from EDI to the rest of the city.

The nearest train station is Edinburgh Waverley. This station is within 1-1.5 miles of the options listed in the Accommodation page.
